McDonald & Ross was contracted by BC Hydro for the replacement of the failing 1x2m wood box culvert with an 1800mm embedded CMP and geosynthetic reinforced retaining wall as well as maintenance work at 4 additional sites.
The work included:
• installation of signage along the Stevens Road to Alouette Connector
• assess and removal of danger trees at all five work sites
• clearing and grubbing of sites
• removing lockable gate
• excavation of old culvert
• installation of pump and new 1800mm steel culvert
• backfilling with native material including 3” minus and rip rap and 75mm road base
• seeding area with native grass revegetation mixture building of gabion walls and compaction
• installation of no-post barricades and road remediation at the four (4) additional sites
• installation of new 1400mm x9.0m corrugated culvert.
• Fire watch as needed.
