McDonald & Ross Const. Ltd. was contracted by Kinder Morgan (Trans Mountain) Inc. to do remediation work at Cheam Creek - approximately 2 km. N/E of Julseth Road and Halverson Road, in Chilliwack.
The work included:
* stream flow isolation, bypass pumping and the supply and installation of rock riprap within the channels
* vegetation removal including brushing activities
* topsoil stripping and salvage
* stream isolation and worksite dewatering
* in-stream pipeline hand exposure, cleaning and inspection
* instream construction of boulder steps and installation of riprap along streambed and stream banks
* hand drill dowel holes into existing in-place boulder on streambed and install dowels for boulder anchoring and stability
* cleanup, ground restoration and replaced topsoil
* repaired gravel and asphalt road resulting from construction as required.
