McDonald & Ross Const. Ltd. was contracted by Veolia Enviro and CH2MHill on behalf of Chevron Canada. It was determined that Chevron’s 12” crude oil pipeline between Kinder Morgan’s Burnaby Terminal and the Chevron Refinery had significant metal loss anomaly underneath the Birkdale Place cul–de-sac. A patch of the street had to be excavated and a length of the pipeline was replaced in order to remove the anomaly. McDonald & Ross was contracted to supply the labour, supervision, equipment, materials, dewatering, access, permits, testing devices, holiday detection, provision for firefighting, fabrication, survey, testing, security at the site and receiving for the 12 inch Crude Pipeline Anomaly Repair Project.
