McDonald & Ross Const. Ltd. was contracted by FortisBC for the repair and remediation of TP 457mm washouts which included bank stabilization and repair of washouts at Cub Creek and Price Creek, Surrey, BC.
The project involved:
• Stream flow isolation
• Bypass pumping and supply
• Installation of riprap
• Vegetative removal including bushing activities
• Stream isolation
• Dewatering
• Exposed pipeline cleaned and coated
• placement of lockblocks to support bank
• placement of root wads
• hand drilling root wads and tying together with cable
• placement of cement pads over pipeline
• working in conjunction with the Dept. of Fisheries and Oceans to protect the natural habitat
• site remediation and restoration
