McDonald & Ross Const. Ltd. was contracted by FortisBC for the installation of gas mains and service work for the Breakaway Bay Manufactured Home Community in Surrey, BC. The project included the mobilization to site, traffic control, identifying, locating and daylighting all utilites, surveying all running lines, notification to all home owners before commencing work on their block, tie-in, purge and gasify line pipe and services, relight and start customer appliances, providing welding and joint completion for the line pipe, providing electrofusion for service tie-ins, complete pressure and leak testing of the pipe, excavate pits to accommodate proposed tie-in locations, provide, install and maintain shoring cages, abandon, sectionalize/remove portions of live DP Steel gas main and remove valve, disposal of all road cut and excavated material, asphalt paving of roads and sidewalk cut repairs, restoration of all owner's property.
