McDonald & Ross was contracted by FortisBC for the construction of a new FortisBC regulator station in Duncan, BC. The project included the installation of a pre-manufactured skid mounted regulator station on FortisBC's property at 731 Jubilee Station, Duncan, BC. Prior to installation of the regulator station, the project required the following:1) on site work (Duncan, BC): mobilization of labour and equipment to site; installation of environmental protection (EMP); installation of temporary fencing; excavation for foundation and Regulator Station area; placement of shoring and dewatering equipment as needed; hydro vac for pilings and fence posts, construction of concrete pad foundation; coordination of all concrete testing and soil compaction testing; transportation of regulator station skid to site, placement on site; installation of building grounding and gradient control mat; installation of underground conduit for RTU pedestal; installation of regulator station piping, back-filling station with structural material, co-ordination of tie-in of Regulator Station to the existing intermediate and distribution pressure mains; installation of fencing (extension of existing fencing on site) landscaping, Clean up and site restoration, demobolization 2) Shop Work - while McDonald & Ross had a crew working in Duncan, BC (as noted above), the following work was completed at our shop in Abbotsford, BC: fabrication of yard piping assemblies including welding, visual inspection, sandblasting, coating, wrapping and pressure testing of piping assemblies; radiographic inspection of all shop welds and pressure testing; dismantling of prefabricated assemblies; transportation of prefabricated assemblies from Abbotsford, BC to job site in Duncan, BC;
