•Job site: 60mm/88mm IP pipeline along Voght Street crossing Coldwater River via Middlesboro Bridge, Merritt.
•McDonald & Ross Construction Ltd. was contracted for the placement of 530 cu.m of 1400mm rip rap, 250 cu.m. of 250mm cobble/gravel fill and 80 cu.m. of top soil.
•We also excavated trench minimum 1.2m depth below bed for riprap toe, removed large clasts from bank, cleaned bank slope, placed geotextile on bank. Placed 200mm thick layer of cobble mixture in trench and on bank slope, placed riprap stones in bottom of trench. Filled voids with cobble mixture, placed stone around base of tree, placed remaining riprap in layers of one stone thickness, filling voids with cobble mixture. We also placed second layer of 8” willow bundles between riprap layers roughly 1m above bed level and planted willow bundles in accordance with the environmental consultants instructions.
•After completion of all work, McDonald & Ross ensured that all site cleanup and restoration work was completed as required
by the contract.
