McDonald & Ross Const. Ltd. was contracted by Terasen Gas to install a rock slope control structure extending the entire width of the channel 5m downstream of the 30" and 12"TP pipeline crossing. River flow was diverted using suitable pump or swale. Clear crossing area of debris and vegetation, contour channel to place thalweg away from right bank upstream of crossing. Placement of 300mm thick layer of granular filter in all areas to be covered by angular rock, place angular rock riffles in lifts one boulder deep. We placed LWD complexes under supervision of engineer and/or environmental consultant.
